Halo Programs
Questions about the company and how we work.
What does Halo Programs do?
Halo Programs runs personalized, automated marketing with a CRM for three industries: mortgage lenders, real estate brokerages and agents, and home service contractors. Our team handles the setup, content, scheduling and delivery, so the marketing keeps going without adding work for yours. The company has been in business since 1973.
Which Halo product is right for my business?
MortgageHalo is for banks, credit unions, and mortgage lenders. RealEstateHalo is for individual agents, teams, and brokerages. ContractorHalo is for HVAC companies and other residential home service businesses, including plumbers, roofers, electricians, and other contractors. Visit our pricing page to compare plans and starting prices for each product.
How is Halo Programs different from marketing software I run myself?
With most marketing software, your team writes the content, builds the campaigns and keeps the lists clean. With Halo, our team does that work: account setup, contact import, email verification, writing and design, scheduling and sending. Replies come to your own inbox.
How much does it cost?
Each product has standard plans you can buy online and custom Enterprise pricing. Standard plans start at $416.58 a month for MortgageHalo, $48.25 a month for RealEstateHalo and $249.92 a month for ContractorHalo when billed annually. Month-to-month billing is available on most plans at a higher monthly price. See the pricing page for what each plan includes.
Can Halo Programs help generate repeat business?
Staying in regular contact with customers, prospects and referral partners keeps your company the one they remember when a need comes up. Consistent marketing can increase a company’s repeat-customer rate up to 3X over a few years. That is a rate of returning customers, not a tripling of revenue, and it is not a guarantee: results depend on your market, on how consistently the program runs, and on the quality of service your customers receive.
How much work will our team do each month?
Very little. Our team writes, designs, schedules and sends the marketing. Your part is to tell us when something changes, such as a new or departing team member or a customer who should come off the list, and to answer the replies and leads that come to you.
How soon can our first campaign go out?
It goes in five steps: you complete an onboarding form, our team builds your account, you review and approve it, you send your contact list, and we launch. How long that takes depends mostly on how quickly the form, the approval and the list come back to us.
Can we approve what is sent, and control who receives it?
Yes. You review and approve your account setup before anything goes out, and printed pieces are sent to you as a proof to approve. You decide who is on your list, and you can take any contact out of the campaigns at any time.

How is Halo different from Constant Contact, or from having an employee do our marketing?
An email tool such as Constant Contact gives you the software; someone on your team still has to write the emails, design them, keep the list clean and press send every month. An employee can do that, until the busy season, a vacation or a resignation. With Halo our team does the writing, design, scheduling and sending, and it is personalized to the person your customer already knows, so it keeps going whether or not anyone at your company has time for it.
What can the program do for us before a customer needs another big purchase?
More than wait. Customers who hear from you regularly refer friends and neighbors, and many do not know everything you offer: an air conditioning customer may need a plumber, and a mortgage customer may want a deposit account. Introducing those services, and marketing around the jobs and closings you have just finished, can create business long before the next replacement or the next loan.
Does Halo generate leads and referrals?
It is built to. Regular contact keeps your people in mind when a customer or referral partner has a need or knows someone who does, and replies and lead-form responses go straight to the right person on your team. Halo does not promise a number of leads.
What happens if we cancel?
Your customer information is yours: under our Terms of Service your company owns what it provides. Payments already collected are not refundable, and an account is billed until it is ended by notice, so tell us when you want to stop.
What happens after I sign up?
Our team sets up your account and profile, imports your contact list and verifies the email addresses. You review and approve the setup before anything goes out. After that, marketing is created and delivered on schedule, and replies and lead-form responses come to you.
Who sets up our accounts, branches and users?
Our in-house admin team does. Every plan includes account setup. For larger organizations on Enterprise, that covers your branches, brands, managers, users and support staff.
What training and support do you provide?
Every plan includes account setup by our team and live customer support. You can reach customer service at 248-669-6900 or cs@haloprograms.com.
Do you keep supporting us after we launch?
Yes. Our team keeps handling changes for as long as you are a customer: adding and removing people, new branches or brands, and updates to your branding. You tell us what changed and we make the change.
What happens when someone joins or leaves our company?
You tell us and our team activates or deactivates them. What happens to a departing person’s contacts follows your agreement and your instructions; see the question under your product.
Can I use Halo Programs on a phone or tablet?
Yes. The applications are cloud-based and work in a mobile browser, so you can reach contacts and reporting from wherever you are.
Can a program be customized for my company?
Every standard plan is personalized: each user’s name, photo and contact details, with your company’s branding. ContractorHalo personalizes to the technician or salesperson in every plan. Enterprise adds what is built for one organization: custom campaigns and marketing materials, integrations, and setups for multiple locations, brands and reporting levels. Enterprise pricing is custom and starts with a demo.
Can we change our logo or branding for everyone at once?
Yes. For an organization with many users, our team can update the logo and corporate branding across all of them at once, so every piece that goes out matches.
Can you handle multiple branches, locations or brands?
Yes, on Enterprise plans. We set up branches and brands within one organization, each with its own users and branding where you need it.
Does Halo integrate with the systems we already use?
On Enterprise plans, yes. MortgageHalo connects with loan origination systems, RealEstateHalo with MLS feeds and transaction management systems, and ContractorHalo with dispatch systems. Which systems are supported differs by product, and you generally need your own active contract or membership with that provider, who may charge its own fees. Tell us what you use and we will confirm it.
The full list is in Halo Programs integrations by product.
Can you build an integration with a system that isn’t already connected?
Yes. Halo Programs has developers on staff, and we regularly build additional integrations to meet Enterprise customers’ needs. If your system offers an API, our team can evaluate it and build a connection where the available access and data support your requirements.
Tell us which platform you use and what information you want connected. We’ll confirm the scope, timing, and any additional cost before work begins.
What can managers and executives see?
On Enterprise plans, executive reporting shows how the program is performing across the organization, including by branch.
Do you measure customer satisfaction?
On Enterprise plans, yes. Halo collects satisfaction scores and Net Promoter Score from your customers and reports them back to you.
Can Halo collect testimonials from our customers?
On Enterprise plans, yes. Testimonials are captured from your customers as part of the program.
Do you offer direct mail and printing?
Yes, in two ways. Anyone can order postcards, letters and Every Door Direct Mail on demand, with no subscription: see sizes and prices on Print & Mail Services. On Enterprise plans, mail can also be built into your managed program, so it goes out as part of the campaign without anyone placing an order. Printing and mailing are handled by our in-house team.
Who owns our customer data, and what does Halo do with it?
You do. Under our Terms of Service, your company owns the customer information it provides. Halo uses it to deliver the services you signed up for and does not sell it. Halo may access or disclose account information only where the law requires it, or to enforce the agreement and deal with fraud, security or technical problems.
How is my data protected?
Halo uses industry-standard security measures to protect the information under its control, and requires its employees and service providers to do the same. Your company owns the customer information it provides, and Halo does not sell it.
Does Halo hold Social Security numbers or account numbers?
No. Our Terms of Service prohibit loading Social Security numbers, driver’s license or other government ID numbers, and payment card or other financial account numbers. What the program uses is contact information and, for mortgage, details of the loan.
How does Halo help us stay compliant?
With controls, not promises. Marketing goes out in your approved company branding with each person’s license number, co-branding is switched on only if your organization allows it, and your company decides what is sent in its name. Your company remains responsible for meeting the laws that apply to its marketing.
Where is your team located, and do you outsource printing and mailing?
Our developers, marketing team, and printing and mailing operations are based at Halo Programs’ headquarters in Michigan. We create the software and marketing, print and finish the materials, and prepare the mail in-house.
We do not send your customer mailing list to an outside printing company to produce your campaigns. Your institution works with one accountable team for the technology, marketing, and print fulfillment.
Is Halo available outside the United States?
No. MortgageHalo, RealEstateHalo and ContractorHalo are offered to businesses in the United States only.
MortgageHalo
Questions about MortgageHalo.
What is MortgageHalo?
MortgageHalo is mortgage CRM software with automated marketing built in, for banks, credit unions and mortgage lenders. It nurtures prospects, keeps borrowers and agents informed during the loan, and stays in touch with past clients and referral partners. Halo handles the setup, content, scheduling and delivery.
Is MortgageHalo a fit for a community bank or credit union?
Yes. It is built for mortgage teams at banks, credit unions and independent lenders, which often have a small staff covering new inquiries, loans in process and past customers at once. MortgageHalo does that follow-up on the team’s behalf. See how it works for each on the industries page.
What should a mortgage CRM include, and what does MortgageHalo include?
A mortgage CRM should keep every relationship moving without depending on a loan officer remembering to follow up. MortgageHalo includes automated milestone messages, birthday messages, holiday and seasonal email, a satisfaction survey and thank-you card after closing, co-marketing with real estate agents, and on-demand branded direct mail and email. Replies go to the loan officer’s inbox.
How much does MortgageHalo cost?
Standard plans start at $416.58 a month when billed annually (Starter: up to 3 users and 4,500 contacts). Growth and Pro raise the user and contact limits. Month-to-month billing starts at $499 a month. Enterprise pricing for large lenders is custom. Full details are on the MortgageHalo pricing page.
Does MortgageHalo replace our loan origination system?
No. MortgageHalo is a CRM and marketing system, not an LOS. Your LOS stays the system of record for the loan. LOS integration is part of the Enterprise plan; ask us about your system on a demo.
Does MortgageHalo integrate with our loan origination system?
Yes. MortgageHalo offers LOS integrations with ICE Mortgage Technology’s Encompass, Dark Matter Technologies’ Empower, Calyx, OpenClose, and Mortgage Cadence. We can also connect with ARIVE through Zapier. LOS integration is available with Enterprise plans.
Integrations with MeridianLink and LendingPad are in progress. Contact us about your LOS, and we’ll confirm the available connection and setup for your organization.
How do we get started with MortgageHalo?
Most banks, credit unions and lenders start with a demo. Individual loan officers and smaller teams can choose a standard plan and sign up online on the pricing page. Either way our team sets up the account, imports your contacts and verifies the email addresses.
Does MortgageHalo tell us when a customer lists their home?
Yes. ClientTracker listing alerts notify the loan officer when a customer’s home is listed for sale, and they are included in the standard plans. A bank or credit union can extend them across its whole customer or member base, not only past mortgage borrowers.
Can MortgageHalo’s mortgage application alerts cover our bank’s retail customers or credit union members, not just past mortgage borrowers?
Yes, for eligible institutions. A bank or credit union can extend the program beyond past mortgage borrowers to customers or members who hold a current account with it, so your mortgage team hears about opportunities inside relationships you already serve. Mortgage Application Triggers alert you when one of those customers enters the market for home financing. An alert is a sign that someone is shopping, not proof of a completed application, and not every application will be detected. Since March 2026, federal law allows this kind of alert only as part of a firm offer of credit and only to certain companies, which include a bank or credit union holding a current account for the consumer. Availability depends on those eligibility rules, the data provider’s requirements and how your program is set up.
How does MortgageHalo protect our customer data?
MortgageHalo is hosted in Amazon Web Services (AWS) data centers. AWS has its security controls examined by independent auditors and publishes a SOC 3 report on them. That report covers the hosting infrastructure MortgageHalo runs on; it is AWS’s report. On Halo’s side, your institution owns the customer information it provides, Halo does not sell it, and our Terms of Service prohibit loading Social Security numbers and account numbers. Enterprise plans add hierarchy management for multi-branch and multi-brand organizations.
That covers where the system is hosted. For where our people work and who prints and mails your campaigns, see Where is your team located, and do you outsource printing and mailing?

Can an individual loan officer or broker use MortgageHalo?
Yes. The Starter plan covers up to 3 users, and the program is done for you: we set it up, create the content and send it, and replies come to your inbox.
Can our loan officers co-brand marketing with real estate agents?
Yes, where your institution approves it. Co-branded marketing puts a loan officer and an agent partner on the same piece, and it is switched on only if the financial institution allows it.
Does MortgageHalo manage leads?
Yes. Leads and prospects are nurtured automatically alongside past clients. A lead assignment module, which routes leads to loan officers by your rules, is part of the Enterprise plan.
How long has Halo worked with mortgage lenders?
Halo has run customer retention programs since 1973, and for mortgage lenders since the late 1980s.
What happens to a loan officer’s contacts when they leave?
Halo follows your agreement and your authorized instructions. Under our terms your institution owns the customer information it provides, so when a loan officer leaves you tell us, we deactivate them, and we reassign their contacts as you direct.
Does my NMLS number appear on my marketing?
Yes. Each loan officer’s NMLS number is added to their marketing, along with your company’s branding.
Can MortgageHalo promote our other banking services to borrowers?
Yes. The program can introduce your retail and deposit services to mortgage customers, so a borrower learns what else your institution offers.
Can assistants and support staff use the system?
Yes. We set up support staff alongside managers and users, so the people who run the day-to-day can do so.
RealEstateHalo
Questions about RealEstateHalo.
What is RealEstateHalo?
RealEstateHalo is done-for-you marketing with a CRM for real estate. Individual agents and teams use it to stay in front of past clients and their sphere; brokerages use it to run consistent, branded marketing across their agents. Our team handles the setup, content and delivery.
Is RealEstateHalo for individual agents or for brokerages?
Both. If you are buying for yourself or your team, you can view plans and get started online. If you are exploring options for your brokerage, book a demo.
How much does RealEstateHalo cost?
Starter, for one user or team, starts at $48.25 a month when billed annually, for up to 500 contacts; larger contact tiers cost more. Starter is billed once a year only: $48.25 is the yearly price divided by twelve, and there is no month-to-month Starter. Growth is a different, larger plan, for up to 3 users and 3,000 contacts; it is $499 a month paid month to month, or less per month when billed annually. Pro is larger again, and brokerage pricing is custom. Details are on the RealEstateHalo pricing page.
What is included in a RealEstateHalo plan?
Account setup by our team, a personalized profile, contact list import, email address verification, done-for-you email marketing delivered monthly, replies sent to your inbox, lead-form responses, email reporting, Marketing Store access and live customer support.
How does the automated marketing work?
Once your contacts are imported, professionally written and designed emails go out for you every month under your name and branding. Replies come straight to you. Print mail, Every Door Direct Mail and multi-year client follow-up programs are available through the Marketing Store.
What does a brokerage get beyond the standard plans?
The Enterprise plan for brokerages adds brokerage branding, custom post-close and just listed and just sold programs, office rostering, MLS and transaction management integration, client satisfaction surveys, testimonial capture, and reporting by branch. Pricing is custom and starts with a demo.
Does RealEstateHalo integrate with our MLS and real estate transaction systems?
Yes. RealEstateHalo offers connections with SkySlope, MoxiWorks, Reliance Network, Realtracs, MLS Grid, and DeltaNet, along with additional direct MLS connections that support Just Listed and Just Sold marketing. We can also connect with Paperless Pipeline through Zapier.
MLS and transaction-system integrations are available through Enterprise plans. Tell us which systems and MLS your brokerage uses, and we’ll confirm the available connections and setup for your organization.

Do mailers still work in real estate, and can you send them?
Mail puts your name in front of homeowners who do not open email, and it is the usual way to announce a listing or a sale to a neighborhood. Anyone can order postcards, letters and Every Door Direct Mail on demand, priced separately from a plan: see Print & Mail Services. On the Enterprise plan, just listed and just sold mail can be built into your managed program.
What support do agents and staff get?
Every plan includes account setup by our team and live customer support.
How does RealEstateHalo protect our data?
Halo uses industry-standard security measures to protect the information under its control, and requires its employees and service providers to do the same. Your company owns the customer information it provides, and Halo does not sell it.
Can you set up our whole brokerage from our rosters?
Yes, on the Enterprise plan. Send us your office and agent rosters and our team sets up your offices and agents from them.
What happens to an agent’s contacts when they leave our brokerage?
It depends on whose account it is. In a brokerage-managed account, the brokerage owns the customer information it provides, and Halo follows the brokerage’s authorized instructions: reassign the contacts within the brokerage, or release them to the agent. If they are released and the agent has an individual RealEstateHalo account, we move them over.
I am an agent leaving my brokerage. Can I keep marketing to my clients?
If the contacts are in your own individual account, they are yours and stay with you. If they were in a brokerage-managed account, the brokerage decides whether to release them; when it does, we move them to your individual account.
Can assistants and support staff use the system?
Yes. We set up support staff alongside managers and users, so the people who run the day-to-day can do so.
ContractorHalo
Questions about ContractorHalo.
What is ContractorHalo?
ContractorHalo is personalized, done-for-you marketing for home service contractors. It sends marketing in the name of the technician or salesperson your customer already knows, with your company’s branding, license number and office phone number, so the calls come to your team. Halo writes, designs, personalizes, schedules and sends it.
Does ContractorHalo replace ServiceTitan, Jobber or Housecall Pro?
No. ContractorHalo does not dispatch, estimate or invoice. It works alongside your dispatch software and handles the marketing to the customers that software already holds. Dispatch integration is part of the Enterprise plan; on standard plans we import your contact list.
Does ContractorHalo connect with ServiceTitan or our existing dispatch system?
Yes. We can connect ContractorHalo to ServiceTitan within an hour once the required access and authorization are in place.
For other dispatch systems, we can use QuickBooks as the data connection when the customer and service information needed for your campaigns is available there. Tell us which dispatch system and version of QuickBooks you use, and we’ll confirm the setup for your company.
Integrations are available with Enterprise plans. Standard plans can get started with a contact list that our team imports for you.
Is the marketing really personalized to my technicians?
Yes, in every plan. Each piece can carry the technician or salesperson the homeowner knows, with your company’s branding, license number and office phone number. Calls go to your office, not to a personal phone.
How much does ContractorHalo cost?
Standard plans start at $249.92 a month when billed annually (Starter: up to 3 users and 1,000 contacts). Growth and Pro raise the user and contact limits. Month-to-month billing starts at $299 a month. Enterprise pricing is custom. Direct mail and other printed campaigns are priced separately. Details are on the ContractorHalo pricing page.
Can it help me sell plumbing or electrical work to my HVAC customers?
Yes. Many homeowners know a company for one service and do not realize it also does plumbing or electrical work. ContractorHalo introduces the services you offer to the customers you already have, which can create work sooner than the next equipment replacement.
What happens after I pay online?
You complete a short onboarding form. Our team builds your account. You review and approve it, send us your contact list, and we launch your marketing. Customer service may call or email you during setup.
View More Frequently Asked QuestionsShow Fewer Frequently Asked Questions
Can you reach the neighbors of a job we just finished?
Yes. Neighborhood postcards go to the homes around a completed job, and Every Door Direct Mail covers a whole mail route. On the Enterprise plan, custom neighborhood postcard programs are built into your managed program. On standard plans you order mail on demand through Print & Mail Services.
Is ContractorHalo only for HVAC companies?
No. It was built over 35+ years serving residential HVAC contractors, and it is open to plumbing, electrical, roofing and other home service companies.
Who on my team can use it?
Each team member gets a profile set up for personalized marketing, and office staff can manage things on their behalf. Plans are sized by the number of users and contacts.
Does it check on customer satisfaction after a visit?
The product measures customer satisfaction after a home visit. Customer satisfaction surveys with reporting are part of the Enterprise plan.
Can we use manufacturer co-op money?
ContractorHalo supports co-op marketing: a piece can carry a manufacturer’s or distributor’s logo and your license number where their program calls for it. Whether a campaign qualifies for reimbursement is decided by the manufacturer’s program and its approval, not by Halo, so check their requirements before you count on the funds.
Is our contractor license number on our marketing?
Yes. Your license number is added to your marketing, along with your company’s branding and office phone number.
What happens when a technician or salesperson leaves?
You tell us and we deactivate their profile. Under our terms your company owns the customer information it provides, and Halo follows your instructions about those customers.
